New York City FC players must feel fantastic after they entered the international break with a 5-1 win against the San Jose Earthquakes. This marked their fifth win in a row and was the first time this season that they scored more than three goals.

The last couple of months have been great for NYCFC. Since they did not have a game during the international break, players were given a few days off. This does not include Mounsef Bakrar, Tayvon Gray, and Tomás Romero, for they were with their respective national teams. However, everyone else had time to have some fun and even travel.

NYCFC players have fun during the international break

Some players traveled during their time off. Jovan Mijatović was in Miami, probably braving the heat and craziness of Florida's summer weather. It appears he was with his girlfriend. He was not the only one in Florida, for Santiago Rodríguez was in Key West with his girlfriend.

Meanwhile, Keaton Parks also spent a few days away with his wife. They celebrated their two-year anniversary in Bermuda. He posted some beautiful pictures on Instagram. Perhaps he will share where they were in case NYCFC fans are interested in booking their own trip.

It is unknown whether James Sands did anything fun. However, the midfielder promoted Old Spice, possibly indicating some sponsorship deal. It could be a one-time deal though since the company is a sponsor of Major League Soccer.

One player who continued to work hard and was at the gym was Talles Magno. The Brazilian reunited with Thiago, who is out on loan. His team, Shenzhen Peng City F.C., was also on a break.

The player that probably had the best break was Malachi Jones. The rookie is now engaged! He proposed back in Tennessee in front of his family and fiancée's family. It looks like he set up the proposal moment with decorations and lighting.

Jones was not the only NYCFC player who got engaged. Andrés Perea also proposed to his girlfriend. He did so on the beach with some flowers and likely wine. Congratulations are in order to both players.

Hopefully, the break allowed the NYCFC boys to recharge and prepare for the summer. Ideally, the team will have a perfect summer where they continue to find success. They will resume MLS play on Friday when they take on the always threatening Columbus Crew.
