NYCFC vs Colorado Rapids: How to watch, time, and more of final game of homestand

The end of the five-game homestand is near, for New York City FC will play their fifth and final home match in a row.  So far, the time at Yankee Stadium and Citi Field has been good for the team.  They are 3-0-1 during the homestand while they are slowly increasing their goal output.  There is still a need to improve on the goal-scoring front, but there are promising signs among the players.

NYCFC will finish this time at home with a game against the Colorado Rapids.  The Pigeons have the edge over the Western Conference team, for they have never lost in six fixtures and have a 3-0-3 record against them.  At the same time, they have not beaten a Western Conference team in 2024, so the Boys in Blue will seek to get that first win.  In addition, they would like to finish out the homestand with three points.

The two teams sit in sixth place in their respective conferences, so it will likely be an equal match.  Colorado has some talented players on their roster, including Đorđe Mihailović and Zack Steffen.  However, the Pigeons just need to play similarly to how they played over their last few games, especially during the D.C. United game.

Meanwhile, fans will be wondering once again whether Mounsef Bakrar will start this weekend.  The striker continues to struggle with finding the back of the net, despite the fact he is a threat in every match.  With Jovan Mijatović waiting to get his shot, it will be interesting to see what Nick Cushing will do with the Starting XI.
