The Women's World Cup is in full swing, and NJ/NY Gotham FC has six players representing four different countries. Fans can see their players play for Brazil, Ireland, Nigeria, and the United States Women's National Team.

Brazil- Bruninha
Bruninha did not start for Brazil but came on as a substitute in the 59th minute, making her World Cup debut. The Gotham FC defender saw her team win 4-0 against Panama.
After one match, Brazil sits at the top of Group F with three points
Ireland- Sinead Farrelly
After a long road back to football, not only did Sinead Farrelly make the Irish National Team, but she also started for her home country. The forward played 63 total minutes in her first World Cup fixture, but unfortunately, Ireland lost to Australia, 1-0.
With one game played, Ireland is at the bottom of Group B with zero points.
Nigeria- Ifeoma Onumonu
Ifeoma Onumonu also made her World Cup debut. The American-born Nigerian received the start for Nigeria, and she played 85 minutes in the 0-0 draw against Canada. The Super Falcons were able to hold on and earn the point against a strong Canadian side.
Nigeria is currently tied with Canada after one match played in Group B. Both sides have one point each.
USWNT- Kristie Mewis, Kelley O'Hara, and Lynn Williams
Neither Kristie Mewis, Kelley O'Hara, nor Lynn Williams started for the USWNT in the 3-0 win over Vietnam. However, O'Hara was substituted on in the 84th minute. The Gotham FC and US veteran helped close out the match and kept Vietnam off the scoresheet.
The USWNT is at the top of Group E after the first game and has three points.

Brazil will play France, Ireland will play Canada, Nigeria will face Australia, and the USWNT faces the Netherlands in the second games of the group round.
