Part two of NJ/NY Gotham FC's three-game week takes place on Wednesday when they visit Jamaican Women's Premier League champions Frazsiers Whip Football Limited. This marks Gotham's third group stage fixture, and final away match in the inaugural CONCACAF W Champions Cup. The first two matches have been kind of a mixed bag of results. A 4-0 win at LD Alajuelense followed by a 0-0 draw at home to CF Monterrey Femenil sees them sit on four points which puts them second in Group A to Tigres UANL Femenil, who they play on October 16 in the group stage finale.

Gotham FC comes into this match following a hard-fought 1-1 draw away to the Kansas City Current on Saturday. While the Bats' goal came with a little bit of controversy, they can feel good about getting a point at a stadium that most other teams have not done so this season. The ladies are currently riding a six-game unbeaten streak in all competitions heading into this match. A win is vital following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Monterrey in their last game. Going into this tournament the goal was to not just win the whole thing, but also win every fixture on the way there. And while that draw does not prevent them from winning the group, a win on Wednesday is needed for them to reach that top spot.

Frazsiers Whip's time in the Champions Cup has not been great. They have lost all three of their matches by a combined score of 17-1. These three losses have already eliminated the Jamaican side from being able to advance past the group stage. While they have been eliminated and are set to finish at the bottom of Group A, they will want to go out on a high and try to give their best performance of the tournament so far in front of their home fans.

While this is most likely the weakest team Gotham has faced this season, this still won't be an easy game. The travel from Kansas City to Jamaica on short rest after dropping points last time out makes this as close to a must-win as one can get. Here is a preview of Gotham FC's third Champions Cup match.

Date

Gotham FC visit Frazsiers Whip on Wednesday, October 2.

Time

The kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 PM ET.

How to watch

The game will be streamed on Paramount+ and CBS Sports Golazo Network.

Location

The match will be played at The National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

Weather

While there is a chance of thunderstorms earlier in the day, the weather clears up for kickoff with less than a 10% chance of rain throughout. Temperatures are forecasted to be in the low 80s with humidity hovering around 80% as well.

Injury Report

CONCACAF does not require teams to release official injury reports before Champions Cup matches. For this game, Saturday's availability report against the Current will be utilized.

Midge Purce (knee), Kelley O'Hara (knee), and Abby Smith (lower leg) continue to be out and on the season-ending injury list.

Svava Guðmundsdóttir (excused absence) has been out with that designation all season, while Crystal Dunn (excused absence) was on Saturday's report and it is unclear if she has returned.

Players to watch

For Gotham, expect Ella Stevens to get back on track. After a great start to life with the New Jersey side, she has been held off the scoresheet in her last four appearances. If she gets the start on Wednesday, then do not be surprised if she makes her presence felt.

While it is admittedly tough to find much about Frazsiers Whip, keep an eye on 20-year-old midfielder Davia Richards. She is so far the only goal scorer for the Jamaican side in the Champions Cup this season.

Prediction

If Frazsiers Whip's three group games are anything to go by, expect a big win for Gotham FC. 6-0 is the prediction with goals from Delanie Sheehan, Jéssica Silva, Jenna Nighswonger, and a hat trick from Ella Stevens.
