Similar to last season, November will see the 2025 campaign winding down for both NJ/NY Gotham FC and New York City FC. The Bats have one more regular-season game before the NWSL Playoffs begin, and are fighting to earn a home match in the quarterfinals. However, fate is not entirely in their hands. Then, the Pigeons are in the middle of the MLS Cup Playoffs.
Since there are fewer games and the schedule is up in the air, it is best to combine the teams when looking at November. Of course, the postseason can be crazy, and teams that are not expected to win can go far. As such, the same can happen for either team.
For now, the focus will be on the matches that will be played. Hence, here is a look at the November schedule for Gotham FC and NYCFC.
The November 2025 schedule for Gotham FC and NYCFC
Saturday, November 1: NYCFC vs Charlotte FC
The Pigeons are currently playing in the Round One Best-of-3 series, and won the first game against Charlotte FC. In fact, it was the first time the team won at Bank of America Stadium. Now, NYCFC will return home in the quest to move on in the playoffs. A win would secure the trip to the Conference Semifinals, but a loss would mean that the Boys in Blue would have to play a third and final match. Some might think the home-field advantage should aid them, but the Bronx side has struggled at home this year, losing six times in the regular season. Nothing is guaranteed.
Sunday, November 2: Gotham FC at North Carolina Courage
Gotham FC will head on the road for a Decision Day matchup with the North Carolina Courage. The NJ/NY side won the home fixture back in April. However, this will be a critical game. The Bats have to win to have a shot at fourth place in the NWSL standings, and the Courage must win to have a shot at the playoffs. This will likely make this a gritty and difficult battle. Unquestionably, Gotham needs to score as many goals as they can to ensure three points.
Friday, November 7: NYCFC at Charlotte FC
If NYCFC loses at home, then they will play the final match of the first round on the road against Charlotte. Whether they can win a second time is questionable. Hopefully, this game will not be needed.
Friday, November 7- Sunday, November 9: Gotham FC vs TBD
Gotham FC still does not know where they will finish in the NWSL table. It all depends on whether they win and the results of a few other matches. Once Decision Day is completed, the Bats will know who they will play and where. The quarterfinals will occur during the weekend of September 7, so at least that is known.
Note that other games could be scheduled for NYCFC and Gotham. It all depends on whether the teams progress in the postseason.
