NYCFC vs New England Revolution: How to watch, time, of Leagues Cup Round of 32 game
- NYCFC will face the New England Revolution in the Round of 32 of the Leagues Cup
- The Pigeons beat them twice already this year
- Here is how to watch, the time, and more
New York City FC should ultimately be embarrassed after their Leagues Cup loss to FC Cincinnati. The Pigeons are in the Round of 32 but failed to win their group when they lost 4-2. The issue though was that they were up 2-0 on the Orange and Blue. Everything fell apart beginning in the 79th minute, and slightly over ten minutes later, their collapse was complete.
This loss was NYCFC’s worst of the season and caused them to finish second in the group round. This means they will be in a difficult part of the bracket. Although, they might have a chance to move on since they will play the New England Revolution in the Round of 32.
Fans will remember that the Pigeons beat the New England side earlier this season in the home and away games in Major League Soccer. The 1-0 win in Massachusetts was the team’s third away win in a row at the time, but also their last. As such, they will strive to repeat that result and go into the Round of 16 for the first time. The Revolution have won more matches since that loss, but continue to sit in last place in MLS. Then, they won their group round of the Leagues Cup.
NYCFC will still have a mountain to climb, especially mentally. The loss to Cincinnati might have them shaken, so it is vital that they refocus. Perhaps Nick Cushing will start all of his best players, and not worry about rotation. He will have one less player with Talles Magno, who is trying to move to Sport Club Corinthians Paulista. The Pigeons still have plenty of wingers to choose from.

Final Notes
After scoring his first goal for NYCFC, there is an argument to start Jovan Mijatović. The striker plays well when he is on the pitch regardless of whether he scores. Hence, he is a good player to have in the attack.
