Gotham FC vs Chicago Red Stars: How to watch, time, and more of possible turnaround game

At this rate, it has become quite repetitive to speak about NJ/NY Gotham FC and the difficulty they have in the goal-scoring department.  The team has three wins, but all were 1-0 results.  Then, the team has not scored more than one goal, with the draws ending in 1-1 results and the losses saw them lose 1-0 and 2-0.

Hence, the offensive struggles to capitalize on chances are one thing.  The results also reveal their strong defensive capabilities, allowing the least amount of goals in the NWSL with seven.  Gotham FC has that to look at despite underperforming.  Moreover, they have proven they can compete with some of the top teams like the Kansas City Current and Portland Thorns FC.  Perhaps they are close to unlocking those last few locks that would unchain them and turn them into one of the most feared teams in the NWSL.

That is why the upcoming match against the Chicago Red Stars will be a big test for the Bats.  The visiting team from the windy city has talented attackers like Mallory Swanson who can easily put the ball into the back of the net.  A strong defensive game can hinder that.  But, it must be repeated that Gotham must score more than one goal.

They need to utilize this match to turn things around.  One might argue the team has done so, but goals are a must because they cannot rely on 1-0 results all the time.  Playing Chicago at home could lead to that spark for Gotham FC.
