NJ/NY Gotham FC struggles continue with a loss to the Washington Spirit on Saturday. They allowed two goals to the opponent while being shut out for the second time in the regular season.

Here are the player ratings from the 2-0 loss to Washington.

Ratings for the goalkeeper and defenders

Cassie Miller – 5

Cassie Miller allowed more than one goal for the first time this season, failing to make crucial saves with just three on the day. The accuracy of her long balls could be better, but her control in the box is still decent. She is still adjusting to her new Gotham FC teammates, subsequently giving her time to improve her game.

Bruninha – 8

Bruninha had yet another solid match at right-back, maintaining a 79 percent pass accuracy while winning four duels with four recoveries. She looks very comfortable in her starting role, with Brazil looking at her closely ahead of the Paris Olympics in the summer.

Maitane López – 5

Maitane López has yet to prove herself in 2024 with another mediocre performance during her second straight start. She only completed two clearances while making three recoveries. She could improve with time but has not done the job the team would have wanted.

Tierna Davidson – 4

Tierna Davidson exited the match during the 21st minute with a hamstring injury. Hence, there is not much to rate on her performance. Samantha Hiatt came on in relief of the defender.

Jenna Nighswonger – 7

It was not Jenna Nighswonger's best performance, but it was another decent outing for her despite picking up a yellow card. Her long balls still need work, with just one accurate in 13 attempts, but she did win all three tackles attempted while making two blocks and nine recoveries.
