Date, time, and how to watch NYCFC vs Charlotte FC

The 2024 Major League Soccer season is finally here!  After a tough 2023 season, New York City FC will look to start the new campaign with a win.  Whether they can do so is always a question.  Nonetheless, the excitement for the new season is immense, for fans are ready to put the fact they missed the playoffs in the past. 

The Pigeons will open the season away from home as they take on Charlotte FC.  Unlike the Bronx side, the opposing team has not done too much to build for the new season.  Hence, this is a match the players could win.  At the same time, the poor preseason results and last year’s devastating away record put a shadow of doubt amongst the fan base.

Hopefully, everyone will have a clean bill of health, whereas Nick Cushing will have options with his Starting XI.  Maxi Moralez will obviously not be available for at least the next few months, but everyone else should be available.  This also excludes any new players that have not received their visas as of yet.

Notably, Mounsef Bakrar has scored the most goals during the preseason.  There are some goal-scoring concerns, but it would be good if the Algerian could start the season off strong.  This is especially vital in the case Jovan Mijatović is unable to play right away.  Of course, it would be fantastic if the two players both soar in 2024.
